Say what you want. If you want to acknowledge the awful prequels, have at it. I will live in a world with only 3 Star Wars movies at this time, and no fourth Indiana Jones movie. Life is better this way.

Yes, IV and A New Hope were added in 1981, for the first theatrical re-release, after Empire came out. (I always had it pictured as Empire earlier, btw).

All the other movies had the Episode V, or VI, and the subtitle in the originals.

That's recent enough to count. It wasn't something added to the late 1990's re-re-release.

Having said that, I do not mean to put the "prequels" on any sort of level playing field. They are optional. To be honest, I don't even own episode I, and I own all the others.
