So a Panther fan that I have dealings with just couldn't leave well enough alone. After every Saints loss, he sends an e-mail about "how bad they are" or "they should just pack it in". At the same time, he constantly boasts about the Panthers and how great they are. I would either send back a nice, professional e-mail back or not respond at all.

Well, today, he sends an e-mail that says 6-0 with a Cam Newton photo doing his first down pose.

All 6-0 means is that they won't be finishing 5-11 or worse. What Panthers fans fail to realize is that it's nice to go undefeated, but it isn't how you start, it's how you finish that matters. No trophies have EVER been awarded during the regular season in the entire history of the NFL. EVER! And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but football is a TEAM sport, and I can't remember any team ever winning the SB with a "me" QB. And if there was ever a "me" QB, I think his name is Cam!

If that doesn't do it for ya, a few years ago, the only team in NFL history to end the regular season 16-0 ended up 18-1. Know what they got? It wasn't a trophy...it was the 31st pick in the draft. Also a few years back, a certain team finished the season on a hot streak, ending up 9-7 and sneaking into the playoffs. Played every playoff game on the road, ran the table to end up 13-7 and hoisted the Lombardi.

The Panthers remain on track for the former, while the Saints are still on a pace for the latter.
