I've been wondering what could be his problem. Drops don't usually come with old age. I wonder if his eye sight is getting weaker with age and he's just not seeing the ball as well.
I feel that Colston has been suffering from a lack of confidence. For so many years he was the go to receiver and he and Brees had this unbelievable connection. Then comes Jimmy Graham and I don't believe Colston was concerned with numbers, but when Brees began to trust Graham more than Colston I believe it had a negative effect. Fast forward to last season, when Colston fumbled that ball and blew the game against Atlanta he seemed to never recover. Maybe it's just euphoria from our win, but I really see that catch Sunday by Colston as a turning point for him and hopefully our whole receiving corps.
