What is The Beast? I've read good things about Shield TV.
The Shield has exceeded my expectations, it's very quick to load anything and a breeze to navigate through.
I previously had a StreamaxTV box, would take seconds to flip through pages and was frustratingly slow and would freeze when searching for movies and shows. So I found the Shield to be a huge upgrade.
The Beast is a build for Kodi and arguably the best one out, you can choose from a couple different ones (I have The Beast Encore).
It's free and highly recommend you check it out when you can. Here's a vid for Encore.

If anyone is interested in a Shield Tv, sounds like Nvidia is sending promo codes for 50 dollars off when signing up for their Newsletter. I came across this thread
