Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups

Plugged in an Amazon Firestick into one TV a couple of weeks ago, and now I just told Cox I want to do broadband only. Of course the guy kept asking me why and trying to get me to order a "local channels only" package that would have cost like a dollar a month extra compared to broadband alone -- for one year. I didn't bother finding out if it required a 2-year obligation, I told him to just cut the damn thing already.

I need one more antennae, though, for my main TV in the den. The little GE loop I plugged in works fine EXCEPT for WDSU, who I always have trouble picking up even though I'm less than 10 miles from their damn tower. Would an amplified antennae help, or would I just be amplifying nothing since I can't seem to get them at all?

Also, is 'DSU still the local broadcast affil for when the Saints are on MNF? B/c I don't want to have to huddle the family around my kitchen TV (where I can actually receive 'DSU, go figure) to watch the Saints this week.

I'm getting an amplified antennae because I can't pick up WYES for the life of me. Nothing I do works.

To answer your last question, yes. The games are still shown on WDSU.
