Saints Sign Ex-Browns LB Craig Robertson, 3 year deal (merged)

Naw, that is no excuse. I've been around since the very first pre-season game up in Shreveport (then called an exhibition game) and am actually positive most of the time. The contrast with what we had then vs what we have now makes me grateful and optimistic for the most part.

So, I kinda think it is just the opposite with us old farts. ;)

OTOH, some folks just have to be negative to show others how much they know and how stupid optimistic fans are.

I always thought they were overly negative as a win/win. If something goes wrong they can be the first to say "I told you so" and if something goes right, it is the outcome they were hoping for anyway.

It reminds me of something someone near and dear to me once said. They said: "I'm always right, until someone absolutely and definitively proves me wrong, then I change my point of view and I'm right again."

It's the same logic as:

"We need to sign someone, but only if they are an amazing talent that is signed for half their value. Every other team is managing to do this every offseason while we are doing nothing. Of course, once we sign these players, it would mean we spent too much money on someone else's cast-off and we are further putting ourselves in cap hell. Thanks Loomis.

Although I have no idea who these players are, how we plan to use them, and/or who else we previously passed on signing; we would also assuredly sign cheap players that are nothing more than camp bodies. I will lambast the front office for all of these signings and I will engage people, who express positive view points, with hostility. Then I will play the victim card while enjoying the free education from people who 1) Do research about these players before posting 2) can project how the new players could possibably fit into the roster form a position of confidence."
I could make a similar post about the draft and the game day threads, but that might be too much truth for one night.
