Guys, if the Saints D can just get one or two...

I wouldn't get too caught up in turnovers to be honest. They are important only when it is the offense giving the ball away. I think it is pretty obvious that the Saints don't have the dynamic playmakers on d to create a lot of turnovers, and the more it is emphasized the more the D tries to create turnovers and end up giving up the big play instead. Something that is on the side of the Saints d though. They can hit. Watch the film on the Atlanta game......the defense came out hitting, and yes I know the WR's in Atlanta blow....but they also had thier heads on a swivel from the first quarter on.
Comparing that to watching guys like Fred Thomas against cinci trying to jump routes only to give up the big play on a double move. We're not athletic enough to recover. I think the team could be smartly emphasizing physical play over the takeaway. It's somethiing that is within the players capabilities and it helps stop big plays. We can win that way as long as the offense takes care of the ball.
