Unsung heros

4. New Orleans receivers coach Curtis Johnson: Coach Johnson is in his first season as an NFL coach and not enough can be said about the Saints receivers this season. Marques Colston, a seventh-round selection from Hofstra, could be the NFL rookie of the year, but he was out of the lineup this week and the other receivers stepped up big time. Sure, Drew Brees has now passed for over 300 yards in five consecutive games -- and a total of 1,954 yards in that span -- but not enough credit goes to the guys catching the ball or the man coaching them. Against the Falcons, wide receivers Devery Henderson, Terrance Copper and Joe Horn combined for eight receptions for 267 yards. While other coaches on other teams watch receivers drop balls week in and week out, the Saints hold on to the ball, and Coach Johnson needs some recognition.
