Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups

Hey, guys and gals.

I'm moving to the great white North and I don't think that I want to bring my DirecTv with me. Part of it is due to ever increasing costs...and another part is that I just don't use it enough. I'll be content streaming/going to sports bar for Sports. Internet is a must due to job. I have a newish Apple laptop.

I like Netflix but haven't tried the other services. What kind of setup would you recommend? I have some money to spend, but ideally I would like to be able to save compared to the cost of DirecTv/cable. Thanks!

The short version, IMO, it is only questionable if you choose to download certain things on to Kodi.

Kind of like some of the photos on BobE's computer. :ezbill:
