Saints making strongest push for Anquan Boldin???

(did not read 13 pages of posts so sorry if it's been posted)

How does Boldin compare to Colston, though? We obviously thought Colston was not good enough to keep, is Boldin that much better? Esepcially since he doesn't "know" the system? Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of Boldin here. I'm just wondering why we wouldn't have just kept Colston if all we were looking for was a veteran possession receiver.

Good enough question. Besides the obvious price-related reasons all free agent considerations are subject to, it seems it was pretty much understood it was the end of the line for Colston, who has life after football seemingly figured out. He's done, he WANTS to be done, and it's time for his next chapter.

Boldin would've retired had he not wanted to play anymore. Apparently, there's still some fire there. And he'll have a far better QB throwing him the ball here than he had in S.F. last season :hihi:
