I have a fire stick not the fire tv and it works fine. I have had no real issues per say aside from buffering / log filling issues on the stick. I am unsure if the fire tv will be better. I have it setup for 5 GHz via an Asus AC 1900 running Asus Merlin to get optimum performance from UVerse.

Well, I had some old credit card points to burn so I have a Fire stick coming to the house for $17 all in. If it works out, I may just look into getting the Fire box on Black Friday. Can't wait to check it out.
