Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups

I put this one in my attic over my garage. I ran the coax to where my cable comes into the house and hooked in there so that it hits all of my tv's. I initially just had it standing on the floor of my attic but eventually mounted it one of the rafters to raise it a little higher. I don't think it made a difference in reception. I did have to purchase the mounting arm separately. I get ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CW, PBS, Bounce, and Create. I've found myself watching Create more than any other channel.

I've been wondering about mounting it in the attic (as opposed to outside on the roof). How much did the mounting arm run you?
I may tell my dad to try it out in the attic first, just to see what kind of reception he gets. This would probably be a lot easier than putting it outside.
