The Vick Gesture (MERGED AGAIN x4)

To compare Brooks and Vick in terms of heart and leadership, well that's pretty ludicrous, Brooks doesn't have an ounce the heart of Vick...Don't be so blind, I can't stand playing Vick twice a year and I'm loving seeing the Falcons demise but the man is one of the most competitive, warriors in the game today. He was the ONLY reason they were in the game today...

As for the recievers dropping passes because they never had leadership...:_rofl: how about NO, they're dropping passes because they SUCK......Crumpler didn't seem to have any problems catching balls against us and the rest of the league the last couple years, maybe Lelie and White or whatever his name is just sucks........

sorry i wasnt clear enough. i meant that the receivers' hearts werent in it because they have no faith in their QB. yes, Vick is a warrior and usually is the only reason their team has a chance, but hes playing the wrong position. if the WR runs his route thinking "i dunno why im even doing this route, hes gonna run or throw it to crumpler" then the WR gets into the mindset that hes only going through the motions to be a downfield blocker or decoy. but other teams know vick seldom throws to WRs, so its not a good decoy.

remember that WR is the position that people like "meshawn" johnson and TO play, a lot of them crave attention, and their job hinges heavily on another players position. if its not a passing play, there effectiveness on the field is greatly diminished. yes they can block downfield on a running play, or draw defenders away from the run, but who wants to do that all game? they want to catch the ball, and it seems to me like they just arent in that mindset when the ball finally comes their way.

maybe they should draft a buncha tight ends and put them wideout, like we did with colston. that way they get good downfield blockers, AND vick can satisfy his urge to throw exclusively to the TE.
