LSU vs Wisky at the Frozen Tundra Game Thread

This intrigues me because it was never the impression I got of Harris from the people I know with connections to Parkway's football program. They always indicated he was poised, confident, and mature.

The leap to college is big, especially to a program like LSU, so maybe it has been too overwhelming for him.

I was excited when he chose to play for the Tigers even though Ohio State seemed like it was probably the better fit between player and program.

As it is, Harris looks to be going the way of some other supposedly talented QBs who have floundered at LSU. His mistake yesterday late in the game was costly, and on him, but the entire team played poorly. Highly touted WRs who don't seem to regularly get that separation that people like to point out as a huge difference between college and pro ball, and frequently seem to lose on contested catches, an OLine that didn't play well, the best back in the country not getting it going until after the half, and a defense that had some struggles getting Wisconsin off the field as the game wore on.

Hard to see past coaching and preparation after a team effort like that.

Completely agree. Harris is only a small part of the larger problem. The 4th and short was indicative of the poor coaching. The left guard pulled right and completely missed the lb coming right up the gut. It's like they didn't know what their assignments were. The last drive, Watt was right up in Harris' grill on more than one play. Poor line play really did the bulk of the damage. The loss was self-inflicted, unfortunately.
