Ingram benched [OLD THREAD BUMPED]

I missed the press conference stick in the quagmire leaving the Dome. What did Coach say?

Hightower just has better vision and patience than Ingram. Those holes that he hit appear miraculously. Hightower just had the patience to let those lanes open up.

Mojo summed it up nicely. I'm just disappointed that Ingram's not able to replicate last season, when he was getting half the carries (I'm roughly estimating here), yet setting the turf on fire.

I don't know what it is, but maybe a committee and Hightower getting his shot to run wild will do Ingram some good. The whole "trade him/cut him/bench him permanently" stuff is overblown. He got benched the game for that fumble and Payton's ready to work with him moving forward.
