So is the 16gb hard to find because it's not made anymore. Does it come out of the box with KODI installed (not that that's a problem if it isn't)?

Version 1 is discontinued but they're out there.

Version 2 is being released but I don't know if you'll find one today or not.

You can get Kodi off of the play store. No hoops to jump through. I recommend using SPMC instead of Kodi. It's the same but made for Android. It has some small features that Kodi doesn't. On SPMC when you search for a movie or TV show on any of the apps you can use voice search instead of typing.
