Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups

Took me most of the day but I managed to set up a point to point connection between my house and my son next door using two NanoStation loco m2 units. Put a few streaming movies playing at both houses and watched youtube videos on two tablets with no issues.

As an unexpected benefit, I now get decent wifi in my workshop as well. It is kind of located between our houses and the NanoStation signal penetrates the metal shop walls.

Going to let it run for a couple of weeks and if it is steady, my son will cancel his cable and we will split my bill. Even if I have to get Cox's Ultimate plan, we will still be saving.
