When somebody is suicidal, they typically aren't in complete control of their mental faculty. They're already dealing with a lot. For somebody to use that to pray on them and further twist their mind until they commit suicide is evil, wrong, preverse and illegal.
Not to mention, this wasn't just some online contact, she was his girlfriend and they knew each other in real life.
