Woman bumped from flight, misses 10K dream cruise

Nothing wrong with holding businesses to higher standards. Nothing wrong with being upset with their over booking practices.

My problem is the drama queen whining about how she missed her "dream cruise" and blaming the business. The over booking just happened to be the one thing out of several more common delaymen'ts she could have faced.

Sometimes we also need to hold people to higher standards and stop blaming others. When you do not factor for unexpected delays, chances are something will delay you. Over booking some times happens. So does flat tires, lost keys, traffic jams, weather delays, flight delays and the list goes on.

Had she planned for the common unexpected delays, she would probably had free hotel stay for the night and a nice travel voucher and enjoyed her dream cruise. Easier to just blame our misery on other parties I guess.

It's one thing if the delay is because of something outside the airlines control.

In this case she is delayed because of something caused entirely by the airline's actions.

The airline is 100% responsible. Her frustration with the airline is justified.
