**Official 2017 NFL Draft - Day 2 Thread - No Twitter Spoilers**

Asinine?

A 7th rounder is worth almost nothing and has a minuscule chance of making an impact. Noway would I of given up the dwindling talent at DE left at the end of the 3rd just to pick up an extra 7th.

I know you are the type that would trade a 2nd rounder for three 5ths though because you are obsessed with quantity. No use arguing about it. We've had 6 picks in the first three rounds of this draft and will come out of the draft with seven players. Giving up talent to scrape out an extra 6th or 7th makes no sense. You aren't going to have 8 draft picks make the roster anyway.

It's not giving up talent. It's moving back a handful of picks to take a stab at landing at best another Jahri Evans or Marques Colston. And with our depleted roster (mostly due to poor drafts and fewer than average picks), nothing would surprise me with the amount of rookies making this team, especially given the amount of rookies that have made it in years past and the turnover we've seen over the past couple of years. Furthermore, if a 6th round pick beats out a higher draft pick, you presumably added more talent than you otherwise would have.

Funny to me right after your snide comment there was a NFL front office that sided with my logic. Maybe it's time you consider alternate draft philosophies.
