I don't know that he is a running quarterback by nature, or was one by the design of Baylor's offense. He was a dual threat desiganted recruit coming out of high school, but I think he is more in the Donavan McNabb vein than the Steve Young one.
He has never had to read a defense, that we know, because no Baylor QB is asked to do that. And he doesn't go through his progressions, again, because Baylor. But he certainly has some skills to build off of. He is an interesting blank canvas for Payton/Carmichael/Lombardi to work with...
