That nonsense philosophy sure gets players wide open and allows GT to play with teams they shouldn't be able to hang with.

It works for them. The players have a choice on where they go.

GT has been a decent football program for a while. Saying that they're clearly outmatched in the ACC in terms of the talent they can recruit is faulty. The university is in a top 5-6 state in terms of high school football talent and is one of only 2 power 5 programs within that state. The flex bone has no business in modern day football. If it did, actual championship caliber football teams at the collegiate/professional level would utilize it, which they don't.
