He was offered a contract after the SB. It's more on his agent than anything the Pats did as a whole.

It was a good idea, they supposedly offered 6 mill I believe which is pennies compared to Gillmore's 13 a year.

Tendering him was a smart move by the Pats, but a shrewd one. All of his peers got mega bucks and he will play for 3 mill.
