The Punisher officially coming to Netflix (merged)

only 2 in butt he thing i'm loving so far is how it plays off of the 70s helpful loner motifs
i was a huge fan of Kung-fu and the Incredible Hulk even Run, Joe Run (look it up) * where the misunderstood/falsely accused but haunted 'good guy' is hounded by "The Man"

in those shows the haunting was just a flavor that writers would use at opportune character moments - The Punisher is a deep dive into the mechanics of the haunting
and beautifully done

* yes The Fugitive is the prototype, but i only saw those much later

I just finished episode 8 and I'm loving it. I had a similar thought after the first episode, though. You could've taken that first episode, retitled it "The Equalizer," and had an unending series of awesome, isolated stories. I'm not complaining that we're dealing with Frank Castle and his story, of course. But that episode was so reminiscent of those old "man on the run" shows.
