Full Saints Offseason Mock

like this thread.... only thing I would disagree on is the resigning of Coleman and Snead.... Coleman gambles to much holding the ball like a loaf of bread... 1 time (ok ) 2 times (hey now).... 3 times (see ya would want to be ya) Snead was so invisible this year not sure if its his routes or he just cant get open...

TE position, I am thinking that the absence of a regular deep threat at WR is partly the reason for the lack of the TEs being more productive on offense....

I also would love to see them draft a QB in the late rounds instead of another RB... we can find a non drafted FA at RB this is what Payton is good at... the QB I have in mind is Brandon Silvers from Troy.... although if he were to shine in the Senior Bowl and Combine then he might not be available in the late rounds...

I agree somewhat with your concerns about Coleman and Snead, but I still think they would both worth putting a "right of 1st refusal" RFA tender on them.
Coleman has shown value in his ability to run block and do it well. He's come along (albeit slowly) as a WR, and ball security issues can be fixed relatively easily. Snead was invisible for 95% of the season, but we've all seen what the guy can do.

Tendering those two players at a low level doesn't guarantee them anything. It just gives us another offseason and preseason to see where they are and how they've improved (if at all)... and they would still need to win their roster spot before the final cut-down next August.

Travin Dural, Austin Carr, TLL, Dan Arnold, and Corey Fuller (?) could all be vying for a spot... and the Saints will certainly bring in more guys through the draft, free agency, and UDFA's to mix it up as well.

As far as a QB goes... I'm willing to wait and see what Taysom Hill has to offer. Payton loves the kid, he's a superb athlete, and Brees has at least 2 more seasons of elite ball left in him.
