Full Saints Offseason Mock

I'm just wondering why so many want to go after Donateri Poe in FA. He wasn't much of a factor in the Falcons defense. He had 39 tackles
and 2.5 sacks. The sacks don't concern me. The tackles do. You expect an All Pro DT to consistently make tackles for a loss in the backfield.
Those were few and far between this year.

Why did the Chiefs allow Poe to test FA? If he's a game changer at DT,you re-sign him

I apologize for the link, but it's the best one I saw that supports my opinion. I'll save you the click bait ads. Poe is a 350 Lb man that
has taken a ton of snaps during his career. He's beat up and wearing down.

Poe did a really nice job of plugging the middle at occupying blockers to keep Deon Jones clean and free to make plays. That is where he was most valuable. For a guy like that to be valuable to us, we would need to have a speedy, athletic LB that could take advantage of what Poe does best... eat space and occupy blockers.
