The stats on Jarvis Landry

In
I actually like that I, the Razorback fan, will be the defender of Landry, the LSU alum.

I think Landry's frustrations with Miami basically boil down to his utilization as a safety valve. Adam Gase's offenses have ALWAYS prioritized a "prototype" WR as the #1 (Demaryious Thomas, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery). That's what they thought they were getting with Devante Parker. The playcalling caters to Parker as the 1, with Landry as the safety valve. It's Parker challenging defenses vertically, or being the first read in goal to go pass plays, though Landry is the far more talented WR IMO. I think when their offense went stagnant Landry & Ajayi's frustrations with Gase were because he typecasts players and improperly utilizes the talents of his roster.. Landry is better than his Miami days show.
Well said.

Totally agree.

Here is a blind reveal that will open some eyes:

Player 1: 204 catches, 2293 yards, 11.2 YPR (2015-2016 seasons)
Player 2: 196 catches, 2382 yards, 12.2 YPR (2016-2017 seasons)

Player 1 is Jarvis Landry and Player 2 is Michael Thomas.

Drew Brees can allow Landry to have much better YAC yards and increase his YPR by at least 1 yard over the average shown above.

Over the last 2 seasons, Landry had 13 TDs, Thomas has 14.

Landry can return punts effectively. Something we badly need.
