that is all interesting and I don't have a dispute with any of it Marsha, but the part I quoted was in regards to 36 hours being a milestone where you get effects that you would not in a shorter fast.

Yeah, and then there's autophagy. It's not clear whether you get that at 18 hours, 24 hours, or only anything over that. The only thing I think can be fairly clearly stated is that you don't eat, you don't replenish you glycogen stores because it just can't happen.

And beyond that, because I know what I think I know .. or at least I know what I've read for myself with my own 2 eyes and my brain -- I won't listen to "idle" advice (OMG, you're gonna die!). And that's what I want everybody to do. I don't want anybody to take my word on anything. I just know what I've discovered for myself.

Currently going for a 16:8. Which I've got 2 and a half hours to go and I'm not sure I can distract myself enough to get there.
