Panthers Sale and Saints

I personally think it’s a bunch of ESPN throwing stuff against a wall and see what sticks. Yes Benson is in his last bit of time. No matter if it’s this year or ten years, the end is closer than the beginning. However, I get the impression with what Tom has been doing since he met Gayle that the team has a very well thought out plan of where it is going from the time Benson passes. Gayle’s loyalty is to New Orleans, that’s obvious. Also, as far as being an owner, I doubt Tom has much say anymore in the operations either. While he may not be senile, he is definitely of advanced age and his decision making is probably questionable. I’m assuming his lawyer team, Louscha, and Mueller essentially run the team at this point. Which I’m sure will continue. Now what happens after Gayle all depends. The way Benson split the stock into voting and non voting makes me wonder if the Saints are not in a generational trust such as the Hearst company and its holdings. That way one person can own the team (common stock) yet the inner circle of the trust owns or at least controls the voting stock.
