Would You Overpay for Suh?

Who's visiting the Bucs tomorrow?

Tomorrow (Friday) he'll be in New Orleans with us.

After that, I don't really care where he goes. I won't consider us as able to get him, to be quite honest.

oh... ya'll didn't notice the "Suh Thread CXXIV" had turned in to "Okafor Thread LXII" ? :D

12 to 15 million a year for Suh for 2 years with about half guaranteed is fine by me. For a DT, he can have a Cam Jordan-like factor on games. He would make our run stop and pass rush much better than it is. Rankins and Onyemata will be coming into their prime very soon, so add them to the gumbo. Davison, who is playing at a very high level himself, would round out one of the sickest interior D-lines in football.

After that, if we can re-sign Okafor, then our D-line will be in the same conversation as Minny and Philly. They had world class D-lines last year and they're making them even stronger this year. Keeping up with the Jones' and all that. Some folks want to horde cap space, be frugal, and and hope a 2nd or 3rd tier player falls in our laps and then has a miraculous season. All I can say is it's going to be extremely hard to compete with the other contenders in the NFC if we don't add some big guns. Big guns cost a lot of money.

And Free agency is drying up. It's either pay Suh and a DE, or keep playing moneyball and enjoy struggling to win the NFC South and hoping for "any given Sunday" to get us through the playoffs.
