Well no one would want to watch an unfunny drama about Roseanne. But kind of the entire premise of observational humor is that it finds humor in every day situations. You're not relying on wacky settings or storylines or Steve Urkel to give the audience their yuks.

Fair enough.. but when i think of ‘observational comedy’, i think of shows like Seinfeld, which wasn’t realistic in the least — four single friends in their 30s/40s who get into wacky situations constantly— but is hilarious... There’s room for all these types of shows, we all enjoy different stuff— i was just saying that i dont find the everyday slice-of-life type of shows like Roseanne to be entertaining, generally speaking.
