Roseanne: The Revival (controversy erupts over tweet by Roseanne, ABC cancels show)

Laugh tracks never bugged me growing up in the 90's/early 2000's. Hell I don't think I really even noticed them. But after years of watching shows without them starting with the trendsetters (Arrested Development, The Office, 30 Rock) it's pretty much impossible to go back.

I'll never understand how BBT stays so popular. About the only show I can rerun like that is Raymond and that's simply because Marie and Frank are pretty much my grandparents and it cracks me up.

I bought the entire MASH series on DVD just so I can watch it without the laugh track.

I can watch some shows with laugh tracks(I definitely prefer not having one), but I found the one they used to be intrusive. It was like every joke was the funniest thing ever. Sometimes it's ok to pipe in a more subdued reaction. I guess it's just me.

But, other than that one gripe, the show was fine. I loved the first 5 or 6 seasons of the original series, and it was fun "catching up." I think they handled certain issues in our society in a rational, moderately funny way. I'm not adding the show to my DVR list, but I'll probably check in on it occasionally.
