2018 Draft Prospects

Pick 27 (I think the pick will come down to these 8 players unless someone unexpectedly drops or they shock me and take Bama safety Ronnie Harrison to replace Kenny Vaccaro if they don’t think Vonn Bell can play strong safety. I see Kurt Coleman as Rafael Bush’s replacement)

Taven Bryan DT Florida - looks like a pass rushing menace from the inside, but I think he can also play on the outside. NFL.com comparison is none other than Cam Jordan. I’ve seen people also compare him to JJ Watt and from watching some highlights I see why. I think he could play DE on early downs and move inside to pass rush early on till he bulks up.

Rashaan Evans LB Bama - probably the guy I like the most for the pick, but with the addition of Demario Davis it makes me think he may not be the pick if available. Now if he can play some SAM then maybe we do take him.

Sam Hubbard DE Ohio St - he is likely the best defensive end to maybe be available at 27. He looks like a good all around DE, but nothing too special as a pass rusher. I wouldn’t be upset with him being the pick, but rather Taven Bryan if available.

Leighton Vander Esch LB Boise St - I have him right behind Evans at linebacker. Like Evans I love his size, but since adding Davis I just don’t see where he would fit in. Like Hubbard I wouldn’t be upset if we take him.

Courtland Sutton WR SMU - a big target that could come in and be our number 2 receiver from the jump. My only problem with him is that he may be too much like Michael Thomas. I would rather get a guy like DJ Chark. Someone that is big and really fast as our number 2. He ran a 4.54 though, so it’s not like he is slow or anything.

Christian Kirk WR Texas A&M - he would be a great slot replacement for Willie Snead, but maybe he could replace Ginn as well as the number 2. He’s fast and could give us a dynamic return man as well. Just like Sutton, I think I would rather Chark or St. Brown as well, but unfortunately we don’t have a 2nd round pick.

Hayden Hurst TE South Carolina - he’s the only TE worth of a first round pick IMO. He’s the total package and would fit in real nice. My only problem with him is that he will be 25 by the time we start playing, so he’s already pretty much maxed out physically. I really don’t want to spend a first round pick on a 25 year old.

Lamar Jackson QB Louisville - Michael Vick 2.0, but maybe even better IMO. I would love to see what coach would do with this type of talent at QB. But like I most I worry that he will run too much and get hurt in the process. This guy can make any throw and keep plays alive with his dynamic athleticism.

Pick 91: (I’m hoping that this pick will be a tight end or pass rushing DE. Unless a reciever like DJ Chark or St. Brown fell here)

Dallas Goedert TE South Dakota St - I think there is a good chance he falls to this pick and if that’s the case I would be ecstatic. Love his size and wish he was a little faster.

Dalton Schultz TE Stanford - another tight end that could be taken here if available. I hope we can somehow end up with one of my top 5 TEs and this guy is my 5th one. Now that we have added Ben Watson, if we keep Fleener I think we can wait a year to take someone. Not as huge a need as before IMO.

I’ll just list my DE prospects I like for both pick 91 or 127. I like all these guys about the same, but tend to lean to the better pass rushers more. They are in no particular order.
