Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone confident shoulder issues are behind him

Couple articles talking about his return from injury and his potential

Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone confident shoulder issues are behind him

"We were really pleased last year early in the year when he was playing," coach Sean Payton said. "He's smart, he's someone that has real good range (and) he can play (all) three downs. "

Based on his initial play, Anzalone looked like a steal as a third-round pick, and he fit in well with the Saints' stellar rookie class.

Why Saints LB Anzalone is confident shoulder won't hold back his potential any more

"From the weak side, Anzalone has the ability to process a game like a middle linebacker.

In fact, if the Saints didn't have so many veterans with experience in the role — in addition to Davis and Klein, Manti Te'o and Craig Robertson also have worn the communication device in New Orleans — the second-year linebacker might be the one calling the shots for the defense.

"Anzalone's the only one who hasn't worn it here, but he wore it in college," linebackers coach Mike Nolan said. "Or he didn't wear it, but he was the signal-caller his junior year, I believe, as the Mike linebacker."

I would love for one our home grown drafted LBs to SUCCEED!! Tired of missing on LBs in the draft !
