Is Ted Ginn Under Valued

Ginns 53 catches last year were second only to MTs 103 among all Saints WRs/TEs.

Meanwhile After combining for 122 catches in 2016, last year, Snead n Fleener combined for THIRTY catches!

Consequently, after leading the league in 3rd down conversions in 2016, last year, we plummeted to 22nd!

Our WR/TE production last year was one of, if not the worst in the SP era.So Ginn, who was brought in to be the team’s field stretching threat and offset some of the loss in Cooks production, was now tasked with being BOTH field stretching deep ball threat AND move the chains/possession WR. So his value to the team last year cannot be understated!

With the offseason additions made at both TE and WR, that group might well be the most improved this year, which really ain’t a stretch, considering what they did last year!


But even if he’s lost a step, Ginn is still plenty fast, and he’s also earned a nice level of comfort n trust from Drew. So while his role(s) may change, I look for him to once again be an important part of our passing O!
