Players You Love to Hate - T.O. Edition

His last year in the NFL, he was 37 years old, played in 14 games and STILL had 72 Rec., 983 Yards, and 9 TDs. If he plays those 2 other games, he's posting 80/1,000/10 at 37 years old. This man was an absolute beast of a WR, I can NEVER understand the argument against him. If you wanna bring "character" into a player's judgement, there are lots of guys that would be left out, top of my list would be LT and Ray Lewis. Even looking at his contemporary, Randy Moss will probably be a 1st Ballot guy, but somehow because he was a Patriot, people will overlook his "character flaws" as well. Say what you want about T.O., guys loved playing with him (aside from his QBs lol), contrasted with Randy Moss whom guys didn't like playing with because he took plays off ALL THE TIME. There's a reason both Minnesota and Oakland TRADED Randy Moss away.

I just wish the Hall of Fame had CONSISTENCY and stuck with the guidelines they set

This is what I mean, TOTALLY AGREE.

Michael Irvin had drug problems and stabbed a teammate. Lawrence Taylor was the biggest problem child back in his day, if anyone wants to get into character flaws. Ray Lewis has a freaking statue in Baltimore and everyone knows what he did. As you mentioned with Randy Moss, his exit from New England was troublesome and Moss in general had some moments.

T.O. was indeed a beast and he tends to be the only one that is targeted over "character" in the Hall of Fame.
