Deshaun Watson in 2018

Watson is a gunslinger type QB. He's going to win you some games. He's going to lose you some games. That's not going to change. That makes him more popular among media and fans than with his coaches. They have to keep it simpler than they'd like and constantly dial him back.

But plays are still going to break down. He's used to getting out of (some) trouble with his feet. The question becomes, has he lost some of his escapability? That could lead to more forced throws. Has his game progressed between his ears? That could lead to fewer forced throws.

I think defenses will dial up the pressure on him this season and worry less about him beating them with his feet until he makes them pay for it.

The media will call it a sophomore slump.
