I don't know that you can scan for locals, but then I didn't think you could do that through the H20 either. You can get local OTAs added to your guide by going through the set up and telling it that you have an OTA antenna. It took a few reboots for me to get it to work, but eventually it did, and you can record the OTA's. Not sure if all the subchannels will show up or not, though.

from what it seems like to me, directv has a database of your local channels, but they only let you receive ota channels from 2 of them period. I have 3 markets by me and want to receive all of them. I could care less about guide data for 1 of them, I at least want to be able to view the channels without having to keep switching the secondary market.
