After Week 2, is the Saints pass defense a concern? - Film Study + Podcast (2 for 1!)

Good stuff.

Our defensive play call was to stop the 1st down and the Browns play call was to go for it all.
We're defending 10 yards from the LOS, they throw a 53 yard bomb.

Crawley had a tough choice to make and was pretty much where he was supposed to be.
Tyrod and Calloway made a perfect throw and catch.

Klein covered Jarvis Landry well.

One question... The Browns' running back in the flatat the bottom of the screen... who's respnsibility is he? I think that's Anzalone that looks like he wants to go out there and cover him, but pulls back for some reason. (or maybe the pass is already made???) Anyway, if we were playing to stop a first down, this would've been an easy throw for a first down.
On the touchdown play? Well, the responsibility is actually Lattimore's. They attack his zone with a hi-lo read there. Anzalone could shade close to Latt if no one comes into his zone though, but at that point the ball is coming out.

Crawley had a solid game. The bomb was less on him & more on perfect execution
It was a really good throw, and given how Hue and Co. have been it wasn't a bad bet to assume Cleveland would play it safe.

Surely you're not indicating that all of the immediate, incessant, and uneducated "Hot Takes" have been inaccurate, are you?

;)

Are you trying to get me in trouble CW? I don't want any trouble :P
