Getting Taysom Hill involved on offense.
Most recent one I can think of is Mike Vick in Philly.
Hill is a very unique and talented player. Many fans believe that he will not develop into a “real” QB, but I disagree... he showed improvement just during the preseason games, and he also showed that he can be a leader. He has the arm strength and the intelligence to play the QB position, and his accuracy needs work, but it is not terrible by any means. He possesses athletic ability that is extremely rare for a QB.
I think it would be the wrong move for the Saints and a disservice to Hill to abandon continuing to develop him as a QB.... However, it would also be a mistake to not take advantage of what he can do to help our team right now.
He’s probably got better straight-line speed than every guy on the team except maybe for Ted Ginn... and that race might be really close at this point in time.
The Saints obviously have a goal line package in the playbook for him. They also have some plays up their sleeve for the punt team with Hill as the up-back. He demonstrated the ability to be a dangerous kick returner, by almost breaking one vs the Browns, and I have to think they are continuing to try to find ways to use him.
