What I think the Ravens are going to try to do

against us Sunday. From what I have read, it appears that they will try to clamp down on our short passing game and do run blitzes to the QB. A lot of their players have said that Brees gets the ball out quickly on short patterns and it's hard to get pressure on him. That we use Reggie in the short game as well to try and get first downs. So from what I'm hearing it sounds like they think all we do is throw short passes and run the ball. They think that the other teams we played didn't play the short pass very well against us and that's how we have had success. They obviously don't believe that we can protect Brees long enough for our intermediate to long passing routes to develope. I think they have forgotten that 86 yard TD pass to colston, and that 48 yard TD pass to Horn and several other long passes to the TE's. The thing is that they don't realize that it doesn't matter who we play. Whatever a team does against us, there will always be an open area on the field and we know how to find that area and exploit it. We have the players to do that and the coaching staff that is flexable enough to do that as well. Let me know what you think. I'm always interested in different angles.

We've had some successful long passes, but for the most part our offense is predicated on short, quick passes by the Brees. I believe the Ravens want to see if we can be successful being a drop back passing team, where Brees has to hold onto the bold longer thus putting more pressure on our o-line. To do that they will try to stop our running game and jump the short routes. Hopefully, Payton can counter their strategy. GO SAINTS!!!!
