right before my senior year in HS, i had to go to Provo, Utah to help drive my aunt & uncle to Ithaca, NY (me, my 13 yr old sister, aunt, uncle and their 6 month old baby in a Ford Grenada - one of the suckiest things ever)
of course that took us through the length of Nebraska
years later my friend asked if i would help him drive from NYC to LA - the one condition i had is that we would go nowhere near Nebraska (if you could weaponize the boredom of Nebraska there would be no need for bombs)
and it wound up being a great trip since we took a northerly route - we got to go through Badlands & Black Hills which was incredible
