I could buy it. I just read an article in another thread about McVay being so innovative, and the whole time I was reading it, I realized you could interchange Payton for McVay and the article would be just as accurate. If he's not his long lost son, he's definitely Luke to Payton's Yoda - just without the actual teaching from Yoda.
