Drew Brees’ history vs. Saints opponents

Drew Brees has already built upon what was the most efficient passing effort in NFL history, in a 2018 season that finds him the favorite to win the MVP Award and his Saints the odds on choice to win Super Bowl LIII.

The 39 year old has made history yet again this season, becoming the all time leader in passing yardage, the leader in completed passes, and became one of four quarterbacks ever to throw for 500 career touchdowns.

In this season or next, Brees should establish the league record for passing touchdowns. Despite those accolades, it goes without saying that Brees would just rather have another Super Bowl trophy.

The path from here to there is somewhat difficult, considering the momentum the Saints lost after an upset defeat in Dallas and a relatively more difficult schedule than their primary competition in the NFC in the Los Angeles Rams, who have an easier path to the No. 1 seed in the conference.
