Why teams don’t value a good kicker

this just really confuses me. It’s ljke saying, why don’t more teams go out and get a Tom Brady that can win 5 Super Bowls. Teams address their needs. You don’t go and pay a kicker 5 million a year if your team sucks and you need that money elsewhere. That being said, I’m sure a team like Chicago that has proven they are close to being a legit contender, can now afford to focus more on their kicking game. That is a luxury.
Maybe I am wrong but I would easily rather pay 5 million to get a great kicker than pay 5 million to add an average linebacker or receiver.
