Nate Burleson???????

What really chaps my backside about the former players now turned "expert" just because they played the game at its highest level can't or won't stand up for what they really know to be the truth. The thing about these guys is just because they played the game doesn't always make them the smartest man in the room because as well all know there has been some dummies who have played in the NFL.

I was at a party once a few years ago and there was a former Saints player there with his son and they both let it be known that because the dad played in the NFL and the son had tryouts with several NFL teams (he never made the final cut) that in any discussion pertaining to football they knew it all and we as fans knew nothing. Kind of like the Jim Mora "you think you know but you don't and you never will" speech. They were two of the biggest condescending jerks I have ever seen and it's sad because as a kid I watched and admired the Dad for playing for the Saints and had a high opinion of him until I actually met him.

Having watched NFL football for as long as I have and heard players and coaches say a million times that there is a very fine line between winning and losing and winning or losing a game can hinge on one play that can totally change the course or outcome of a game and then have to listen to these morons preach that one play does not decide the winner or loser of a game is a bit much to take!!

Maybe that one play didn't cost the Saints the game but the situation that they were put in certainly did!!
