Goodell--Is He Bigger Than The Game?

He's a petty tool. A shill for the worst of the worst in the ranks of the NFL ownership ranks.

Rozelle was a football man, having been an executive with the (original) Rams. He grew the game without killing it in the process, which is the polar opposite of what we see now. Tagliabue was a slight step down, being an attorney, but at least was a student-athlete in college (played hoops at Georgetown, believe it or not) and understood the law, as we saw during his peculiar yet fortunate entry into the bounty fiasco.

GODdell is an economist by academic degree. Ironic, given the aforementioned shill-hood for the owners. He's a child of a bit of privilege, being as he's the son of a U.S. senator. Bio says injuries kept him from playing college football; that's mildly ironic given his neutering of how the game is played. Other adjectives I could use to describe how he comes off aren't allowed on this board, but I'm sure we all use them in the privacy of our homes to describe him.
