Regarding price, Bob Lutz (who is not involved but has to know more than the average joe) says that the C8 will only cost marginally more than the C7. I fully expect to see models costing well over $100k (the eventual zr1 for example), but the base model with an updated LT1 just might have a reasonable MSRP. The question is how long does it take for the dealer adjustments to MSRP to disappear.
After my '05 GTO experience I told myself that I'd never buy a GM again but I don't know if I can pass up a V8 mid-engine "super" car with what I expect to be a pretty good performance/dollar ratio.
Personally, I couldn't buy one unless it has a manual transmission. The speculation is that only a dual clutch will be available even though patent filings point to a new clutch by wire system. I know the dual clutch will be faster, but if I'm buying this kind of car I want a third pedal.
