Not saying you're lying or intentionally trying to deceive. Just you don't really understand what it means to be in poor or in poverty. What you have experienced that you might be considering struggling probably looks a whole lot different to those in actual poverty. And it's your attitude towards it is what makes it so obvious. No one who's actually been poor before looks down their nose at people for being poor because they know better.

Dude I used to go days without eating. I had to wear my sisters clothes in middle school and high school because we were so poor. My dad was nowhere around, and my mom made minimum-wage. Don’t talk to me about Not knowing what it means to be poor. I was the poorest kid in my neighborhood and got bullied and made fun of all growing up due to that. I’m sorry that you’re wanting to push your narrative so bad you can’t believe someone is being genuine, but I’m telling you the honest to God truth.

I do not look down on poor people. I look down on people who make poor choices.
