No it’s not knee jerk. I wouldn’t want to see a white actor playing a traditionally black role, just as I wouldn’t want to see a black actor playing a traditionally white role. It has more to do (for me) with staying as true to the source material as possible. I would have thought you understood my POV on that from our GoT discussions lol. I always point to the source material. They just lucked out with Elba because he’s such a phenomenal actor.
